Holloway is Jace Wilders’ debut album, a warm, personal country record about the years when his life began to change and the people who helped him understand what he actually wanted from it.

For a long time, Jace thought freedom meant keeping his options open. He spent the first part of his twenties staying out late, moving from one thing to the next, and avoiding anything that felt too permanent. By twenty-two, that life had started to feel less like freedom and more like standing still.

Holloway comes from the period that followed.

The album is rooted in the people and places Jace began seeing differently as he grew up: the family he once took for granted, the grandmother whose faith never needed to be forced on him, the girl who made commitment feel less frightening, the hometown he spent years wanting to escape, and the ordinary routines that slowly became the things he valued most.

The name Holloway comes from Jace’s maternal family, particularly his grandmother Ruth Holloway and the home, faith, patience, and sense of belonging that side of his family represents. The album is not about becoming a completely different person. It is about finally recognizing the value of what had been around him all along.

Across the record, Jace writes about wanting something real, learning to stay when leaving would be easier, finding faith again without pretending to have every answer, and discovering that growing up does not mean losing your freedom. Sometimes it means finally choosing what is worth keeping.
