Jace spent the first part of his twenties keeping things loose. Jobs felt temporary. Relationships stayed undefined. Weekends disappeared quickly, and anything that looked too much like permanence felt easier to avoid than understand.

Around twenty-two, that began to change.

There was no single moment that fixed everything. Jace simply started paying closer attention to the people and places that had been there all along. His family began to look different to him. His grandmother Ruth’s quiet faith started meaning more than it had when he was younger. Love stopped feeling like something that needed an exit plan. Home stopped looking like the place he was supposed to leave.

Holloway comes from that period of his life.

Named after Ruth Holloway and the side of Jace’s family that represents so much of the home, faith, patience, and stability he eventually found himself returning to, the album explores commitment, family, growing up, faith, regret, gratitude, and the strange realization that the ordinary life Jace once thought he was running from might be exactly the life he wants.

He is not pretending he has everything figured out. Holloway is about the point where he finally stopped waiting to become somebody different and started showing up like the person he wanted to be.
